Community Bridges’ Early Education Division provides high-quality preschool at locations throughout Santa Cruz County.
Complete the steps below to apply for the California State Preschool Program and other available early education services.
Submitting an application does not guarantee enrollment. Our team will review your information, verify eligibility, and contact you regarding available programs and locations.
You will need an email address or mobile telephone number that you can access. Please save your username and password so you can return to your application.
Do not create another account if you have already started an application. Use your existing account to return to your information and uploaded documents.
Please allow enough time to complete the application and upload your documents. Having your documents ready before you begin will make the process faster and easier.
You will need to provide information about:
Your child must be fully vaccinated. See immunization requirements.
Information about the income received by the parents, guardians, or other adults whose income must be included in the application.
The names and relationships of the adults and children who are included in your family or household for program eligibility purposes.
Families requesting full-day services may need to show why preschool is needed, such as employment, school or training, seeking employment, seeking permanent housing, parental incapacity, homelessness, or involvement with Child Protective Services.

Eligibility is determined individually based on California State Preschool Program requirements, the child’s age, available enrollment categories, family income, household size, and—in some cases—the family’s documented need for services.
A child may qualify based on one or more circumstances, including:

Part-day preschool is generally offered for fewer than four hours per day. Families applying only for part-day preschool may not be required to demonstrate employment or another reason for needing care.
Families applying for full-day services generally must meet an eligibility requirement and demonstrate a need for care. A need may include:
Community Bridges staff will review your information and determine whether additional documentation is required.
After your application is submitted:
Community Bridges will review the information and uploaded documents.
A staff member may contact you if information is missing or clarification is needed.
Your family’s eligibility and need for services will be evaluated.
You will be contacted regarding enrollment, available sites, or waitlist status.
Please respond promptly to telephone calls, text messages, or emails from Community Bridges. Missing or incomplete information may delay the review of your application.
