Our compassionate staff build a warm, friendly, safe place for the Live Oak community to access resources that offer stability and hope for the future. Live Oak Community Resources is part of the Community Bridges family of programs. (Para Español, desplácese hacia abajo y en el icono de Google seleccione "Spanish." Youth referred to us by the Santa Cruz County Probation Department receive counseling, mentoring, and community service opportunities.
Our dedicated volunteers are here to provide individualized after-school support throughout the school year.
We partner with professionally supervised counseling interns to offer free counseling and advocacy to individuals and families.
In partnership with the County of Santa Cruz, our dedicated Family Advocates support foster parents and resource parents and relative caregivers who have children in their care, including tangible and emotional support.
We seek to meet the needs of families through bi-lingual, bi-cultural support on both a long and short-term basis. Our drop-in advocacy support aims to help our community access resources and set goals to address relevant issues.
Share the joys and challenges of parenting at our weekly parent-child playgroups in both English and Spanish, or the popular courses in Positive Discipline.
Our advocates are here to enroll your family in programs such as Medi-Cal and the Covered California Health Exchange, and will help you select a primary care provider.
“When I lost my job it was so hard to get by. Live Oak helped me with everything – job applications, parenting skills, food stamps, and help enrolling in insurance. They made sure my family and I were okay.”
