🌟 A heartfelt shoutout to Ramon Gomez from Santa Cruz County Supervisor Felipe Hernandez's office for joining us at the Watsonville Senior Center to lend a helping hand with meal deliveries and kickstart Community Champions week! This week, our amazing Champions will be by our side, delivering meals and lending their support at senior dining sites across Santa Cruz County. This incredible initiative, powered by Meals on Wheels America, shines a light on the essential role of nutrition and human connection in the lives of our older adults.🍽️ Meals on Wheels for Santa Cruz County goes above and beyond to tackle these challenges head-on. Unlike traditional food assistance programs, we bring ready-to-eat meals straight to the doorsteps of seniors, ensuring access for those with disabilities who may struggle to cook for themselves. But our commitment doesn't stop there; we conduct regular wellness checks and connect seniors with crucial health resources, providing the essential support our community's most vulnerable members need and deserve.
