Mountain Community Resources to Host SLV Covid-19 Testing Site

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mountain Community Resources to Host SLV Testing Site

Santa Cruz County, CA — San Lorenzo Valley residents will have access to local Covid-19 testing resources starting Friday, Sept. 10.

Mountain Community Resources will host a mobile testing bus capable of administering up to 84 tests per day, which will be available for walk-up testing Friday – Tuesday 10 am – 6 pm.

The bus will be located behind the Mountain Community Resource Center located at 6134 Highway 9 in Felton. Individuals arriving to be tested should park and approach the mobile testing unit. Anyone who may have been exposed to Covid-19 or is experiencing symptoms should not enter the center. All residents arriving for testing are asked to wear a mask outside their vehicles for the safety of others.

“Access to testing and vaccines are the two critical components required to end the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Community Bridges’ CEO Raymon Cancino. “San Lorenzo Valley has been through a tough year. Rapid, local testing and vaccination resources will help keep kids in school, valley businesses open, and help to restore a sense of normalcy as the community continues to recover. We look forward to continuing our long history of meeting the needs of the valley.”

The testing site may require additional volunteer support. If you would be interested in volunteering with Mountain Community Resources to support this, or one of our other community efforts, we would love to hear from you HERE. Not ready to volunteer but you want to support this effort in other ways? We’d like to hear from you HERE.

🌟 Thank You, MCR Food Pantry Volunteers! 🌟Every Thursday morning, our incredible volunteers at Mountain Community Resources show up with heart and hustle—making sure our neighbors have access to fresh, healthy food. Over the past year, more than 600 community members came through our pantry doors, and thanks to these amazing folks, we were able to distribute over 9,000 bags of food. 💪🍎🥕To show our appreciation during Volunteer Month, we treated our team to a well-deserved pizza party—courtesy of Justin Acton and Boulder Creek Pizza & Pub—and gifted them some Community Bridges swag. Just a small token of our huge gratitude. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all you do. Our community is stronger, healthier, and more connected because of you. ❤️#VolunteerMonth #ThankYouVolunteers #CommunityBridges #MountainCommunityResources #FoodPantryHeroes ... See MoreSee Less
